BODY ISSUE 2013

The Body Issue is an edition of ESPN The Magazine that features dozens of athletes in nude and semi-nude photographs, which is intended to rival Sports Illustrated′s Swimsuit Issue. The first issue debuted on October 9, 2009. The 2010's edition included the regular sports coverage. In the bodies section athletes were featured on and off the field. Even a picture during a knee surgery was included. The "Bodies We Want" section was a feature of the best bodies in the world of sports all posed nude but with strategic coverage of private parts. Another section showed the damage done to the human body in athletics such asLaird Hamilton's cracked heel and Torry Holt's crooked middle finger. One action photo captured six members of Major League Soccer's D.C. United simulating a free kick defensive wall while covering their genitalia.

BODY ISSUE é uma edição da "ESPN The Magazine" que apresenta dezenas de atletas em fotos nuas e semi-nuas, que tem a pretenção de rivalizar a "Swimsuit Issue da Sports Illustrated". A primeira edição estreou em 9 de outubro de 2009. A edição de 2010 da revista incluiu a cobertura esportes regulares. Nos seção "bodies" atletas foram destacados dentro e fora do campo. Até mesmo uma imagem durante uma cirurgia no joelho foi incluída. Na seção"Corpos que queremos" se caracterizou por mostrar os melhores corpos no mundo no esporte, ao natural, mas com as partes íntimas cobertas. Outra seção mostrou os danos causados ao corpo humano no atletismo tal como o calcanhar rachado de Laird Hamilton e o dedo médio torto de Torry Holt. Uma foto da ação capturou seis membros da Major League Soccer DC United simulando um chute de falta com barreira enquanto os jogadores cobriam a genitália.
